Mike Adams
Founder & Lead Instructor
Mike Adams is the founder of Amerestore and America’s Restoration Technical Institute (ARTI), bringing over 35 years of experience leading the restoration industry forward.
With a background spanning water damage restoration, mold remediation, trauma cleanup, and fire and smoke damage services, Mike built Amerestore into a trusted emergency response team, known nationwide for excellence, precision, and compassion.
As the driving force behind ARTI, Mike is passionate about raising the standards of restoration training. Recognizing a major gap in the industry between classroom certifications and real-world readiness, he launched ARTI — the first Midwest training facility focused on hands-on restoration education, including ICRA 2.0 compliance, Xactimate estimating, fire behavior, and safety practices.
Mike is a Master Water Restorer, Master Fire/Smoke Restorer, and a Certified Master Technician through IICRC. He also holds advanced credentials in OSHA 10-hour instruction and is a certified Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Trainer through ASHE (American Society for Health Care Engineering).
Mike’s teaching philosophy is simple: “You don’t learn this work by sitting behind a desk. You learn it by doing it right.”
At ARTI, he trains professionals to be field-ready, confident, and compliant — because in high-risk environments like hospitals and commercial buildings, there’s no room for error.
Today, Mike continues to teach, mentor, and shape the next generation of restoration professionals, blending real-world experience with a deep commitment to quality, safety, and leadership.
